The Opportunity
We’re seeking a seasoned SAP WMS Solutions Architect (REMOTE) to play a pivotal role in designing and implementing tailored SAP solutions that align with complex business needs. This position involves both strategic oversight and hands-on technical contributions to ensure optimal system performance and seamless integration across enterprise systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather business requirements and identify optimal SAP solutions to address operational challenges.
- Crafting detailed solution designs that align with organizational objectives, including configuration and custom development as needed.
- Providing guidance to technical teams during implementation to ensure alignment with solution architecture and best practices.
- Balancing the need for customization with the goal of maintaining upgrade-friendly SAP systems.
- Ensuring data consistency, integrity, and optimization within SAP environments through effective data modeling and management strategies.
- Monitoring system performance, scalability, and resource utilization, making enhancements as necessary.
- Developing comprehensive documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, and configuration guidelines.
- Acting as a bridge between business teams and technical experts, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
- Supporting organizational transitions by assisting with change management related to new SAP systems and processes.
- Staying current on SAP advancements and identifying opportunities to enhance existing systems.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within the SAP environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (preferred).
- Experience working with SAP Extended Warehouse Management and/or SAP Transportation Management.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying SAP solutions from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of supply chain or manufacturing operations and how SAP can be leveraged to optimize these processes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP system integrations, middleware, and data sources.
- Solution Architecture: Proficiency in designing end-to-end SAP solutions, including system architecture, data modeling, and integration strategies.
- Proficiency in SAP technologies, including configuration, customization, and development (e.g., ABAP coding).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience creating technical documentation and system architecture designs.
- A collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Operational experience in warehouse management, logistics, transportation, supply chain or manufacturing (desired, not required).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance considerations relevant to SAP implementations.
- Bonus: Prior experience in a government or highly regulated industry setting.
