Location: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands (USAG-KA, LOGCAP V Support)
Schedule: Full-time | 60 hours per week
Compensation: ~$124,000 base + stipends (approx. $129,000 total compensation)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Power Generation SCADA/PLC Specialist to support U.S. Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA) under the LOGCAP V program. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading SCADA and PLC systems that support power generation, water, wastewater, and incineration facilities across the installation.
This is a mission-critical role in a unique overseas environment. Candidates must be highly skilled in controls engineering, communications protocols, and SCADA administration, with the ability to adapt to the challenges of a remote island assignment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA/PLC systems, servers, HMIs, and network configurations.

Perform hands-on work with generators, synchronization, and paralleling systems.

Configure and administer Rockwell ControlLogix, Siemens S7, and related platforms.

Support automation and instrumentation across utilities, including power, water, wastewater, and incineration systems.

Implement system security, perform patching, backups, and documentation.

Train operators, participate in safety programs, and lead technical briefings.

Collaborate with U.S. military leadership, contractors, and local staff to ensure mission readiness.
Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of SCADA/PLC experience in power generation, utilities, or industrial automation.

OEM-level expertise with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent (ControlLogix preferred).

Strong knowledge of Modbus, RS-232/485, and TCP/IP protocols.

U.S. Citizenship required. Must qualify for a CAC (Common Access Card) and U.S. military base access. NO clearance required.

Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and USARPAC medical/dental clearance.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport (12+ months remaining).

Ability to work 60-hour weeks in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience with Woodward controllers and SCADA Historian systems.

Knowledge of OSHA/NFPA70E safety standards.

Previous military or overseas contracting experience.

Strong leadership and training ability.
